My name is Bernard. I am French. The isolation of my island makes it quite impossible to find great teachers. I wanted an experienced and professional musician as my teacher, somone who also knows about theory and authentic gospel music. Mr. Merrell exceeds my expectations by far! In addition to being an exceptional pianist, he has an exceptional personality. He is genuine, trustworthy and very encouraging. I would never have dreamed for such a teacher in my life and I thank God EVERYDAY for having met him. His Skype lessons made me progress and my friends can hear the difference! Not only can Mr. Merrell answer any of your questions with an adequate and precise answer, he is also able to explain to you a concept, transitioning with extraordinary ease from gospel to jazz but also to various styles such as classical music, pop music, R&B etc. Lately, we worked on puting a “gospel flavour” in a pop christian song: an unforgettable experience!
